This article provides a guide on how to connect your CRM with WooCommerce. By doing this, you can keep track of your customers’ purchases and segment them based on the products they bought, the category and tag they purchased from, and their order status.
Sync WooCommerce Customers to Email Marketing Software
To sync WooCommerce customers to your email marketing software and CRM, grab a copy of the FuseWP plugin and install and activate it on your WordPress site. After which, connect your email marketing software.
Syncing WooCommerce Customers to Email Lists Based on Purchased Products
Follow the guide below to segment WooCommerce customers based on their purchased products in your email marketing software.
Go to FuseWP >> User Sync and click the Add New button.
On the page to add user sync rules, select a WooCommerce product as the source.
The Destinations metabox is where we configure the different order statuses of the selected WooCommerce product and their respective email marketing integrations. You also have the option to assign tags and map fields to your selected CRM or email marketing software.
An Example
In the screenshot below, WooCommerce customers who purchase the product Cap are synced to the selected email marketing software or CRM.
If their order status is completed, they are subscribed or added to the “Customers“ audience or list. If their order is ever refunded, the order status changes from Completed to Refunded, and they will be unsubscribed/removed from the Completed email list and subscribed/added to that of Refunded.
Syncing WooCommerce Customers to Email Lists Based on Product Category
To segment WooCommerce customers in your email marketing list or contact list based on the product category they purchased from, Go to FuseWP >> User Sync and click the Add New button.
On the page to add user sync rules, select a WooCommerce category as the source and set up the CRM or email marketing list for every order status.
The screenshot shows that customers who purchase from the Clothing category will be automatically added to the “Customers” email list. If their payment fails during the checkout process on WooCommerce, they will be included in the list associated with the “Failed” order status.
Syncing WooCommerce Customers to Email Lists Based on Product Tags
Segmenting WooCommerce customers based on the product tag they purchased from is similar to the instruction or guide for the product category segmentation described above.
In the screenshot below, when a customer purchases a product tagged “Long”, they will be added to the “Customers” email list. If the order status of the purchase changes to Refunded, they will be removed from the Completed list and added to that of Refunded.
Don’t forget to save your changes when done and ensure the rule is active.
That’s how easy it is to connect WooCommerce to your email marketing and CRM platforms, including Mailchimp, ActiveCampaign, Constant Contact, Campaign Monitor, AWeber, Zoho CRM, Kit (ConvertKit), Drip, Brevo (Sendinblue), HubSpot, MailerLite, Sendy, Klaviyo, EmailOctopus, Flodesk, HighLevel, Omnisend, GetResponse, Mailjet, FluentCRM.
