Integrating WP Travel Engine with Email Marketing Software
To sync WP Travel Engine users to your email marketing software and CRM, grab a copy of the FuseWP plugin and install and activate it on your WordPress site. After which, connect your email marketing software.
Syncing WP Travel Engine Customers Based on Booked Trips
Follow the guide below to segment WP Travel Engine customers in your email marketing and CRM software based on the trips they booked.
Go to FuseWP >> User Sync and click the Add New button.
On the page to add user sync rules, select WP Travel Engine Trips as the source and a trip as the source item.
The Destinations metabox is where we configure the different booking statuses of the selected trip and their respective email marketing integrations. You also have the option to assign tags and map fields to your selected CRM or email marketing software.
An Example
In the screenshot below, WP Travel Engine customers who book the “Wyoming” trip are synced to the specified email marketing software or CRM.
If their trip is successfully booked, they are subscribed or added to the “Customer List”. If their booking is ever refunded, the booking status changes from ‘Booked’ to ‘Refunded’, and they will be unsubscribed from and removed from the Completed email list, and subscribed to and added to the Refunded list.
As you can see, you can map the various booking data (such as Booking ID, date, amount, address, etc.) to custom fields in your CRM and email service provider.
Syncing WP Travel Engine Customers Based on Trip Type
In WP Travel Engine, trips can be categorized into types.
To segment WP Travel Engine customers in your email marketing list or contact list based on the Trip Type they booked from, go to FuseWP >> User Sync and click the Add New button.
On the page to add user sync rules, select a Trip Type as the source and set up the CRM or email marketing list for your preferred booking statuses.
In the screenshot above, customers who book any trip from the “Short Trips” trip type will be subscribed to the “Customers” email list and assigned the tag “short”.
If their booking is ever cancelled, they will be removed from the Booked email list and added to the email list defined in the “Canceled” book status section.
Don’t forget to save your changes when done and ensure the rule is active.
